Tips on Picking the Right Hair System for You

Now it's time to talk about how to pick exactly the right hair system for you. Make no mistake about it. There's a lot of different factors that you've got to figure out, what's going to give you the best performance for you. There is going to trade-off no matter what you choose. That is going to be things that are not as good, things that are a little bit better, but you really have to figure out what's right for you. So the question is, how do you actually go about deciding these factors?

Pick A Hair System that Matches Your Lifestyle

First up. Let's talk about the breathability, believability, durability scale. This should give you a general starting point for deciding what it is that you actually want. This is actually going to play into a lot of the factors that we are going to talk about in this section but before we even talk about that, it's really important that you understand this. Your hair system has to match your lifestyle. If it does not match your lifestyle, it is going to be a lot harder to get by without a hair system. My first hair system, what I got was a Poly thin skin, it was very believable looking, and it was amazing. I loved it. However, here's the kicker, I work out very, very vigorously every single day. I do something called a prospect, which is high intensity, interval training, meaning that I am sweating a lot. I'm running, I'm jumping, I am climbing ropes, I am lifting normal weights, all of this stuff, but I'm doing it at a very, very fast pace, and I live in Florida, which is very, very hot and humid. A thin skin poly does not breathe, meaning that whenever I'd worked out, it was very uncomfortable. It was itchy. It was hot. I did not enjoy it, and I actually ended up giving up on hair systems at first, because I thought it was impossible for me to continue my lifestyle while also wearing a hair system. I later learned that's not the case and that there were other options out there that were much better.

Think About the Density of the Hair System

And now I've never had a problem ever since. So that's why this part is so important for you. So first, let's consider the density of the unit. Now hair systems come in a line of densities. You can get these generally from extra light, light, light to medium, medium, medium to heavy, heavy. Now, most people who will be getting a hair system are going to fall somewhere between that, light to medium into the medium range. It's really important for you to understand that you have to get the right density hair system for you. If it is very off, it will definitely not look correct. There is wiggle room you can probably go a little bit lighter than your natural hair. You can go a little bit heavier than your natural hair, but if it is completely on other sides of this spectrum, it's going to be a very noticeable thing. So if you have very light fine hair, this is something that you are going to want to match up.

The easiest way to figure out what density your hair is to go to lavivid and buy a density chart which will tell you in comparison to your own hair, what density you should be buying. It's a general kind of rule. If you're a young person in his twenties and you had pretty thick hair to start with, you're probably somewhere in the light to medium range. However, if you always had lighter hair, if you always had less dense hair, try to go closer to the light to medium to the light range, go a little bit lighter. It's very easy to get greedy when we first get a hair system and think we want all the hair in the world. But sometimes a subtler look is better.

Think About the Hairstyle You Want with the Hair System

One of the other important factors that go into choosing the right hair system for you is knowing, what type of hairstyle that you're going to go for. You don't need to know exactly, but what you do need to know is are you going to expose the hairline, or are you going to cover it? I kind of have a Ford pushed hairstyle right now, which means that my hairline isn't really exposed. I don't need to have the perfectly indistinguishable hairline. So what that means is that I don't have to go with a type of hair system base that's going to give me that very, very believable look at the front hairline that you might get from a Swiss lace or from a very, very thin Poly thin skin units. Now that's something that you need to know. That way you can get the best result possible. if you do want that very believable look, you're going to have to go with the thin skin poly or the Swiss lace. French lace will still be pretty good, but it's not going to be as good as the Swiss or very fine polyurethane base like a point zero two thin skin, so that's very important for you to consider.

Think About the Breathability Factor of Your Hair System

The next thing that you're going to have to consider is of course the breathability of it. Are you someone that moves a lot and does a lot of exercise and sweats? If you are, then you're going to have to take that into consideration when you're picking a unit. If you live in an area that's hot and you do a lot of exercise, you definitely want to get a breathable hair system. If you're someone who is a little bit more sedentary or someone that lives in a colder climate, you can consider the less breathable options, and they're going to be good for you.

Consider the Durability of A Hair System

Also, something to consider is ultimately the durability of the hair system. If you need to have a more durable system save for financial reasons, if you don't want to buy a system more regularly, you're going to need to find one that's more durable. So what that means is you're going to want to look for a system that has more life span to it. That doesn't give out earlier, like a very thin poly thin skin unit, or a swiss lace, these have less durability. You're going to want to move more towards either the French lace, maybe a thicker Poly thin skin, or potentially, if you really need to stretch out your unit further, a mono base.

Age

The next factor to consider is actually Age. Age is really important to consider because as we progress through our life, almost all men do lose some hair. The density of their hair decreases if you look at men in their sixties seventies eighties, you'll see that there's less hair than someone who was a teenager or a man in his twenties. If you are in your thirties or forties, fifties, or sixties, you definitely want to consider how old you are and what density your hair really is.

Of course, you're going to want to go for the correct match by matching it up with the density of your hair now, but as a general rule of thumb, you can say that if you are on the older spectrum of age, that's your hair is going to be a lighter unit, you may be in the extra light to the light range. If you are younger, though of course, depending on your ethnicity, depending on how naturally dense your hair was, you may be in the lights and medium to heavy range. It all depends on what your hair is at its current state.

Hair Color

The next thing that you're going to have to consider when you are choosing a unit from the Lavivid, of course, the color. There are over sixty colors that laVivid has that you can choose from to match up to your hair with varying degrees of grey if you need that.

So, how do you actually match your hair color up with one of those colors? Now there are two ways that Lavivid provides at this current moment. Number one is you can actually buy a color ring from them, and this will allow you to do is matching up directly with your current hair to find exactly the right color. That's actually what I did. I got the coloring and I had someone to help me figure out what the perfect, perfect match was. I started wiggling down from the sixty, and I said, OK, My hair is not black. I took for ten of the colors out, I said. OK, my hair isn’t very, very light, blonde, Let's take those out. And I started whittling it down to about five until we finally got to a judgment and decided what the correct color was for me and it is sometimes it gets very, very subtle, so that's a good option of the other way that you can go about doing this is you can actually send a lock of hair directly to lavivid, and they will get the perfect match for you.

Once they have your hair color, they will dye a hair system. It's a perfect match, your hair color so that there is zero discrepancy out there. This is a great option if you want Lavivid to take care of you the professionals to take care of your hair system through the entire process.

If I didn't have my friend helped me with finding the perfect color for me, I would have actually taken this option. I'm actually partially color blind, so figuring out the exact correct color for me would have been very, very tough and I would have relied on them. So, whichever of those two options you take, we're going to make sure that you have the perfect hair color that is absolutely indistinguishable from your natural hair.

Pick the Correct Size

The next step you need to know and figure out what the perfect hair system is for you is the actual size of the hair system. When you're looking on Lavivid's website, you'll see that each hair system has an approximate size. It'll say something like a length by width dimension. Now later in the series, we're going to teach you how to measure your area of hair loss. So that way, you can actually pick the perfect hair system for you. Now, these dimensions you see for the hair system of length by width are going to match up with your scalp hair loss.

You need a unit that's big enough to cover the actual area of hair loss for you. once we teach you how to actually measure that later in this course, you will know exactly which size is perfect for you, and then you can proceed to the last step, and this is one that's a little bit more advanced, and this is something that if you want to order a custom unit, it's something to think about.

Hair Type

Finally, you need to consider is your actual hair type. Those that come from European descent, such as myself, have European hair, which is a thinner diameter. It's not as course and what that means is as finer now that hair is different. Chinese hair, which is known for being much more course and having a different sheen than European hair and of course, there's Indian hair to consider as well.

So Lavivid stock systems are all Indian hair, which is a good kind of intermediary between the two, except for the Cronus model, which is a European based hair, which is a great option if you are of European or perhaps now American descent or hair is usually finer and a little bit thinner than our Indian and Chinese counterparts. That being said for custom orders, all hair materials are available for people to choose from, Including Indian human hair, Chinese hair, European hair and synthetic hair. But if you really want to dial in that look, consider placing in an order that specifically made for you your hair type your hair color, the correct base that you want for you and getting the most indistinguishable possible look.
